STATUTE LAW

The Trade Marks (Amendment Rules) 1997 was published in

the Official Gazette on the 16th of September, 1997.

Among other things the amended rules authorises the

acceptance of telefasimile transmissions to the

Registrar but it also requires that the original be

filed within one month of such transmission. The date

of transmission would only hold if the original is

filed with the Registrar within the stipulated time.
